The Friends of the Constitution Trail and the Ecology Action Center are teaming up for a Tree Corps planting project along the Constitution Trail/Route 66 Bike Route.
Volunteers will assist in the planting of approximately 50 – 2″ diameter balled and burlapped trees along the Route 66 Bike Route. The work involves heavy lifting, bending and twisting, shoveling, raking and pounding in tree stakes; all volunteers must be able to work on their feet for a few hours at a time and lift moderate loads (25 pounds).
We will be using heavy machinery to assist us so all volunteers must be at least 18 years of age in order to participate.
