Mark Adams
Mark Adams is a Community Planner at McLean County Regional Planning Commission. Adams was born and raised in Easton, Pennsylvania, and moved to Bloomington-Normal in 2014. He graduated with a Master’s Degree in History from Illinois State University in 2016. Following ISU, he graduated in 2018 from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a Master’s in Urban Planning & Policy. During his time at UIC, Adams worked on transit-orientated development plans for the CTA Red Line Extension and studied the impact of mixed-land use development in Chicago’s Kenzie industrial corridor.
Prior to MCRPC, Adams worked at Mid Central Community Action as a Housing Counselor for 2 years, then at Mercy Housing Lakefront as a Program Evaluation Manager in Chicago for 3 years. He joined McLean County Regional Planning Commission in January of 2023.
