Community Planner

Anthony Baumann is a Community Planner at McLean County Regional Planning Commission. He joined the MCRPC team in January 2025.

Anthony is originally from Sycamore, Illinois and moved to Bloomington-Normal in 2020 to attend Illinois State University. He graduated in May 2023 with a Bachelor's Degree in Sustainable and Renewable Energy and Geography.

While at ISU, Anthony interned for the Tri-County Regional Planning Commission working on Comprehensive Community Plans and Local Transportation Plans. After Graduation, he served as a GIS Intern for the McLean County GIS Department updating the COMLARA Park Trail Maps and Cemetery Walk Interactive Map. He then transitioned to the Peoria County Planning and Zoning Department as a Planner I. His work at Peoria County included Housing Rehabilitation Grants, Land Use Planning, Tract Survey Review, and Zoning Cases.
