Tessa Ferraro

Community Planner

Tessa Ferraro is a Community Planner at the McLean County Regional Planning Commission.

Ferraro earned her Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology with minors in Art History and Spanish from DePaul University. After spending some time in Chicago, she earned her Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

During her time in graduate school, Ferraro interned for the mayor’s office in her hometown of Erie, PA. While interning, she participated in a neighborhood planning effort with a strong focus on community engagement. After graduation, Ferraro moved back to Erie and worked as a zoning officer for the City in the department of Planning and Neighborhood Resources.

As a Community Planner, Ferraro will focus on the Regional Housing Initiative and community planning.
