Casey Peterson

Graduate Fellow

Casey Peterson is an Intern at the McLean County Regional Planning Commission

Originally from Auburn, California, Peterson earned his Bachelor’s degree in History from San Francisco State University. Upon graduating, he spent two years working in corporate training for a Silicon Valley tech firm. He then took a position at Tesla Motors as an outreach coordinator and later a commercial solar array system designer where he worked with local municipalities in order to get local approval for electric vehicle charging network expansion.

He served more than two years in the United States Peace Corps as a TEFL volunteer in Ukraine where he was tasked with helping implement European Union initiatives to reform Soviet-era education culture. Peterson moved to Illinois to pursue a graduate degree in Political Science at ISU. He is currently a graduate student and Stevenson Center for Community and Economic Development fellow.
