Ana Mendoza

Assistant Planner

Ana Mendoza is an Assistant Planner at the McLean County Regional Planning Commission.

Mendoza earned her Bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning with a concentration in Sustainability and a minor in Informatics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. During her undergraduate studies, she interned at the Champaign County Regional Planning Commission as a transportation planner. The majority of her work focused on the Village of Rantoul’s transportation system and Safe Routes to School plans, paying special focus to equity and connectivity. After spending some time in Urbana, she earned her Master’s degree in Urban Transport from the University of Glasgow in Scotland, where she completed her thesis on the likelihood of consumers adopting an autonomous vehicle based on various work benefits. 

After graduation, Mendoza moved back to central Illinois to work as an Assistant Planner for the McLean County Regional Planning Commission.
